撒切尔夫人被誉为英国和平时期最伟大的首相。她事业很成功，但是和儿女的关系却比较糟糕。原因很简单，撒切尔夫人曾经说过这样一句话：家就是你没事可做时才去的地方。

后续的情节也很符合因果逻辑：晚年的撒切尔夫人非常孤独，儿女很少回来探望她，甚至在她过世时都没有陪在身边。她的女儿说：“母亲不应过于期待成年子女不时地回家看望她，家人不在身边的日子谁都经历过，我们年幼时也总见不到母亲。”

晚年的撒切尔夫人也为她与儿女的疏离而深感遗憾，但是一切都已无法挽回。

教育是人与人的互动，技能的传递是教育的一部分，但是情感的互动以及基于情感而产生的温暖、幸福与自我接纳是教育中更加重要的部分。

而且，我们对待孩子的模式极有可能就是当我们老去时孩子对待我们的模式。当然，教育的本质不是回报与交换，但是，教育又的确是模仿与互动。

希望所有的父母师长都能够对孩子付出爱与尊重，从而实现生命的彼此成全。

Mrs. Thatcher was hailed as the greatest Prime Minister in the time  of peace. However, she had a bad relationship with her children even though she was super successful in her career. It’s not difficult to understand the reasons as Mrs. Thatcher once said: “home is the place you go when you have nothing to do.”

Fast forward in the story to an old-aged Mrs. Thatcher: She was very lonely and her children rarely visited her. What’s worse, there were no children to accompany her by her bedside when she was dying. Her daughter said that her mother should not have expected too much from her adult children in the way of a visit. “We hardly saw her when we were young, all of us have experienced this loneliness in the past.”

In her later years, Mrs. Thatcher also expressed deep regret at the emotional distance between her and her children, however, it was irreparable.

Education is the interaction among people. The transfer of skills is definitely an integral part of education. However, the interaction of emotions, warmth, happiness, as well as the self-acceptance of emotions from others aremore important parts in education.

Furthermore, the way we treat our children today is likely to be the way they treat us in the future. Undoubtedly, the essence of education is not a simple exchange and pay back, rather education is really the imitation and interaction of various qualities.

I hope all parents and teachers give our children great love and respect, so as to realize the mutual fulfillment of our lives.
